Salad Dressing Cake and Frosting

This is from one of my Great's. Not sure which one. Again, using past experience on the directions!
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 cup salad dressing (like Miracle Whip) shopping list
- 1 cup hot water shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup coca (scant) shopping list
- 1 tsp soda shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- ~~@~~ shopping list
- Dressing: shopping list
- 2 tbs shortening shopping list
- 2 tbs oleo (I use butter) shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- amount of cocoa to your taste shopping list
- 1/3 cup milk shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
How to make it
- Cake:
- Combine all ingredients. pour into prepared pan and bake at 350 to 375 for about 35 minutes or until wooden pick comes out clean.
- Cool
- ~@~
- Frosting:
- Beat all ingredients well and frost cake.
