My mother got this simple meal from her mother-in-law, my grandmother who has moved on. Still one of our favorite meals! (and for goodness sake, try to get a big bowl of salad down with this to make it complete!)

Ingredients
  • smoked beef sausage, sliced
  • large can Baked Beans
  • large can steak house beans
  • bag of frozen corn

Directions
  1. In large pot brown the sausage a bit
  2. Add the beans
  3. simmer
  4. add the bag of still frozen corn
  5. If the beans and sausage are plenty hot, there is no need to cook any longer. Just turn the heat off and let the corn take up the heat a bit before serving.
  6. (I like a big chunk of butter and several twists of ground pepper in mine)
