Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cream butter and sugar well.
  • Add eggs one at a time beating well after each egg.
  • Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
  • Alternate flour mixture with milk or sour cream mixing well.
  • Add vanilla.
  • Pour into a big tube cake pan, greased or sprayed with non stick cooking spray and bottom lined with wax paper.
  • Bake for 50 minutes - 1 hour 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

    Mmmmmm, pound cake is a favourite of mine. This recipe looks wonderfully delicious and thank you for sharing. I'm with Henrie, you've got my "5" on this recipe as well.

    I never made a sour cream pound cake but mom has and she said they are very moist, don't know why I haven't tried them, I usually do the cream cheese one. You have my 5 on this one because I certainly trust my mom's word ;0)
