Mamas Pound Cake

- 3 sticks room temperature butter or margarine shopping list
- 3 c sugar shopping list
- 3 c plain flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- Dash of salt shopping list
- 6 eggs shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1 c milk or 8 oz carton sour cream shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream butter and sugar well.
- Add eggs one at a time beating well after each egg.
- Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
- Alternate flour mixture with milk or sour cream mixing well.
- Add vanilla.
- Pour into a big tube cake pan, greased or sprayed with non stick cooking spray and bottom lined with wax paper.
- Bake for 50 minutes - 1 hour 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

I never made a sour cream pound cake but mom has and she said they are very moist, don't know why I haven't tried them, I usually do the cream cheese one. You have my 5 on this one because I certainly trust my mom's word ;0)
