Mamas Pound Cake Recipe

Ingredients

3 sticks room temperature butter or margarine

3 c sugar

3 c plain flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

Dash of salt

6 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1 c milk or 8 oz carton sour cream

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream butter and sugar well.

Add eggs one at a time beating well after each egg.

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.

Alternate flour mixture with milk or sour cream mixing well.

Add vanilla.

Pour into a big tube cake pan, greased or sprayed with non stick cooking spray and bottom lined with wax paper.

Bake for 50 minutes - 1 hour 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

I never made a sour cream pound cake but mom has and she said they are very moist, don't know why I haven't tried them, I usually do the cream cheese one. You have my 5 on this one because I certainly trust my mom's word ;0)
