Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2-1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1-1/2 cups finely chopped macadamia nuts

Directions
  1. Beat butter at medium speed of an electric mixer then gradually add sugars mixing well.
  2. Add egg and vanilla then beat well.
  3. Combine flour, soda and cream of tartar then gradually add to creamed mixture.
  4. Mix well after each addition then stir in macadamia nuts.
  5. Drop cookie dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
