Walnut and Raisin Tea Loaf

- 1 1/3 cups honey shopping list
- 1 1/4 pounds butter ( 1 and 1/2 sticks ) melted and cooled shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 2 TBSP. lemon juice shopping list
- 3 1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 3/4 teasp. baking soda shopping list
- 1 teasp .cloves shopping list
- 1/4 teasp. salt shopping list
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup golden or regular raisins shopping list
How to make it
- combine honey, butter, eggs, milk, and the lemon juice until well blended.
- in separate bowl combine the flour, baking soda, cloves and salt.
- add flour mixture to the honey mixture and beat until creamy.
- fold in the walnuts and raisins
- pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf pans
- bake at 325' F for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- cool for 15 minutes in the pans, then turn out onto racks to cool completely
