Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cook bacon until crisp.
  • Drain well and reserve 2 tbsp of drippings.
  • In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • Stir in cheese and bacon.
  • In small bowl combine egge, milk, butter and reserved bacon drippings.
  • Add to dry ingredients.
  • Stir until just moistened.
  • Divide batter between 10 medium greased muffin cups. (fill the other two cups with water to keep the pan from warping in oven.
  • Bake in 400 degree oven for 25 minutes.

    I made this recipe this morning, and they were very good...and rich! The only thing I did differently was add some cracked black pepper. I tried to take a picture for you, but my camera died on me. Thanks again for a "five fork" recipe!
