Old Kentucky Nut Cake

- 2/3 c. butter shopping list
- 1 2/3 c. sugar shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 2 2/3 c. sifted flour shopping list
- 2 t. baking powder shopping list
- 1 t. salt shopping list
- 1 c. milk shopping list
- 1 t. vanilla shopping list
- 1 1/4 c. walnuts, cut up shopping list

- Creamy caramel Icing: shopping list
- 1/3 c. cream shopping list
- 6 T. butter shopping list
- 2 T. sugar shopping list
- 3 c. sifted powdered sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs.
- Sift dry ingredients.
- Stir in dry ingredients alternately with vanilla and milk.
- Fold in walnuts.
- Pour into two greased 9-inch layer pans.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes.

- Creamy Caramel Icing:
- Heat cream and butter.
- Carmelize sugar.
- Add creamed butter stirring until lumps are dissolved.
- Gradually stir in powdered sugar.
- Add more cream if icing gets too thick.
- Ice cooled cake.
