Cherry Cake

- 3/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1 tablespoon grated lemon rind shopping list
- 2 cup sugar shopping list
- 4 cups cake flour shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 2 cups glace cherries shopping list
How to make it
- Cream together the butter or margarine and the grated lemon rind until soft.
- add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy. (about 5 minutes)
- Sift the flour and add a little of it to the mixture. Alternately add the remaining flour and the eggs to the mixture beating well after each addition.
- Cut the cherries in half and toss in flour. Add to the cake mixture and mix well.
- Butter and flour an Bundt cake pan.
- Pour cake mixture into the prepared pan and bake in 325 degree oven for approx. 1 1/2 hour. Leave the cake in pan until almost cool.
