Pasta In A Pot Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup purchased Spaghetti Sauce
  • 1 (8 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
  • 8 ozs. large shell macaroni (about 3 cups)
  • 1 (8 oz.) container sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese

Directions
  1. In a large skillet, fry ground beef, onion and garlic until meat is browned.
  2. Drain off fat.
  3. Stir in spaghetti sauce, tomatoes and mushrooms.
  4. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
  6. In a 2-qt. casserole layer 1/2 of each of the pasta, the meat sauce, sour cream and cheese.
  7. Repeat layers.
  8. bake uncovered, in a 350*oven for 25-30 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
