Raspberry Linzer Bars

- 11/2c flour shopping list
- 3/4c sugar shopping list
- 1/2c plus 2Tbs chopped walnuts,divided shopping list
- 1Tbs unsweetened cocoa powder shopping list
- 2tsp fresh grated orange zest shopping list
- 1/4tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/4tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/4tsp salt shopping list
- 1tsp gr.cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4tsp gr. nutmeg shopping list
- 1/4tsp ground cloves shopping list
- 1 lg. egg shopping list
- 2Tbs canola oil shopping list
- 2Tbs water shopping list
- 3/4c seedless raspberry jam shopping list
- 1Tbs. orange juice shopping list
How to make it
- Prheat oven to 350. Coat a 9x9" or 7x11 1/2" pan with cooking spray
- Combine flour,sugar,1/2c walnuts,cocoa,orange zest,baking powder,baking soda,salt,cinnamon,nutmeg and cloves in food processor. Pulse until walnuts are finely chopped. Add egg,oil and water;process till moistened. Transfer to prepared pan. Press into even layer. Bake crust until dry to the touch and barely golden,20-25 mins.
- Whisk jam and orange juice in a bowl. Spread evenly over the crust. Sprinkle with remaining 2Tbs walnuts. Bake the bars until jam bubbles,10-15 mins longer. Transfer pan to wire rack and cool completely before cutting into bars.

This looks like a delicious and very easy way to get to Linzertortenland. Personally, I'd cut back on the cloves, because I find them overpowering, but I love the rest. Do you find this crust mixture easy to distribute in the pan? That was another...more
