How to make it

  • FOR THE EMPANADA
  • Grease and flour a mold of your choice.
  • Roll out half of the puff pastry dough, cut a circle and place in the mold.
  • In the blender mix the tomato sauce with the chipotle.
  • Mix the drained tuna with the tomato sauce.
  • Fill the mold.
  • Cover with another circle of puff pastry.
  • GARNISH
  • roll some of the dough and make some shapes to decorate the empanada.
  • Brush with beaten egg.
  • Add the spices.
  • bake for 1 hr. 325 degrees.

    Thank you for sharing your empanada dough recipe. I loved them when I lived in Maputo and I have been keen in ever since I got back to Australia to find an easy recipe. Your site looks fantastic for a basic cook like me to dabble in some yummy cooking.
