Tuna Homemade Empanada

- FOR THE EMPANADA shopping list
- 1 lb, of puff pastry. shopping list
- 10 oz canned tuna shopping list
- 8 oz homemade tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 canned chipotle (depends on your taste) shopping list
- FOR GARNISHING shopping list
- 1 egg beaten, to glaze shopping list
- 1tsp. basil shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. white pepper shopping list
How to make it
- FOR THE EMPANADA
- Grease and flour a mold of your choice.
- Roll out half of the puff pastry dough, cut a circle and place in the mold.
- In the blender mix the tomato sauce with the chipotle.
- Mix the drained tuna with the tomato sauce.
- Fill the mold.
- Cover with another circle of puff pastry.
- GARNISH
- roll some of the dough and make some shapes to decorate the empanada.
- Brush with beaten egg.
- Add the spices.
- bake for 1 hr. 325 degrees.
