Yummy apple and nut combination melts in your mouth, wonderful treat for the holidays. Great with warm, spiced apple cider!

Ingredients
  • 1 Egg
  • ¾ cup Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 3 tablespoon Flour; heaping tablespoons
  • 1½ teaspoon Baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Nutmeg
  • ½ cup Nuts;chopped;walnuts, pecans
  • 2 medium Apples; pared chopped fine

Directions
  1. Break egg into bowl, beat with sugar and vanilla.
  2. Add flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and blend well.
  3. Stir in nuts and chopped apple.
  4. Bake in greased and floured 9-inch square baking dish or pan, in moderate oven 350 Degrees for 30 minutes.
