Hot Buttered Rum Batter Recipe
This is a mixture used to make hot buttered rum. It keeps in the freezer until ready to use and is addicting...we try to find other ways to use it because it has such good flavors.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound butter
  • 1 pound brown sugar
  • 1/2 pound powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream (or use 1 quart for a richer recipe)

Directions
  1. melt butter
  2. mix butter, brown sugars, cinnamon and nutmeg
  3. add ice cream and beat WELL
  4. store in freezer
  5. PER DRINK: 1 jigger rum and 2 tablespoons batter. Stir, add boiling water and stir again. Sprinkle with nutmeg if you wish.
