Ingredients

1 lb. bulk sweet Italian sausage

1 medium onion, chopped

1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cubed

1/4 cup mushrooms, chopped

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup water

1/4 tsp. dried oregano

1/4 tsp. dried basil

1 (1 lb.) loaf unsliced Italian bread

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

In a large skillet, cook the sausage, onion, bell pepper and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the cream cheese, mushrooms, Parmesan cheese, water, oregano and basil. Cook and stir intil cheese is melted.

Cut bread in half horizontally; hollow out top and bottom, leaving a 3/4" shell (save removed bread for another use).

Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on the bottom; top with the sausage mixture and then remaining cheese

Put the bread top on. Wrap loaf in foil. Place on a baking sheet.

Bake in a 375* oven for 20 minutes
