Microwave Cake Recipe

Microwave Cake Recipe
This is the fastest way to make a cake, and it is a summer standby for me. I do not use my oven until the weather cools!

Ingredients
  • 1 box cake mix (you pick-white/yellow/chocolate/etc.)
  • 1 can pie filling (you pick-strawberry/apple/cherry/etc.)
  • 3 lightly beaten eggs
  • 1 stick melted butter

Directions
  1. mix all ingredients in microwave-proof 3qt casserole (I use my Princess House fanstasia one and it works great)
  2. microwave for 15 minutes (varies some by equipment-done cake should appear moist, some holes showing, and pull away from sides just a bit-do not overcook)
  3. turn out of pan by inverting onto serving plate (or lid if you have one)
  4. serve warm or cooled with your choice of toppings/ice cream
  5. I have done this w/ spice cake and apple (added raisins), white w/ strawberry, yellow w/ apple, strawberry and cherry, chocolate w/ cherry.
  6. I have also made w/ fresh fruit just cook and thicken a bit.
  7. the recipe is just a starting point, make it your own and enjoy!

I think this is great, I have a recipe similar to yours but without the fruit, this sounds great!

I have an even faster one. Check out the Chocolate Soda Pop cake. I love the idea of not having to heat up the oven for your cake though. I am going to give this a shot. Thanks
