Szechwan Shrimp Recipe
Don't let some of the ingredients fool you-- this spicy shrimp makes a simple,impressive dish,which I usually make for company.

  • 4 Tbs. water
  • 2Tbs ketchup
  • 1Tbs soy sauce
  • 2tsp. cornstarch
  • 1tsp. honey
  • 1/2tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1Tbs. vegetable oil
  • 1/4c sliced green onions
  • 4 cloves garlic,minced
  • 12 oz cooked shrimp,tails removed

Directions
  1. In a bowl,stir together water,ketchup,soy sauce,corntarch,honey,crushed red pepper and ground ginger.Set aside
  2. heat oil in a large skillet over med-high heat. Stir in green onions and garlic;cook 30 seconds. Stir in shrimp,and toss to cat wit oil.Stir in sauce. Cook and stir till sauce is bubbly and thickened.
