Fudgy Chocolate-Peppermint Brownies

- 3 c AP flour shopping list
- 3/4 c Dutch processed cocoa shopping list
- 1 c mint baking chips or chopped andies mints shopping list
- 2 c sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 6oz bottersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped shopping list
- 1 c walnut halves shopping list
- 1/4 c finely crushed peppermin candy canes or round peppermint candies shopping list
- To Prepare Brownies: shopping list
- 1 1/4 c unsalted butter, softened shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1/3 c whole milk shopping list
- 1/4 tsp peppermint extract shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat over to 350F. Spray a 13x9 baking pan with cooking spray. Beat butter in a large bowl at med speed until smooth. Beat in eggs at low speed. Beat in milk and peppermint extract. (Mixture will look curdled.)
- Slowly beat in all dry ingredients except crushed candy canes and spoon into pan. (Batter will be thick)
- Bake 25-30 mins or until top looks dry and toothpick inserted two inches from edge comes out clean. Immediately sprinkle with crushed candies, bake 1 min or until candy is slightly melted. Cool on wire rack. Center will sink slightly.
