How to make it

  • Snap off tough ends of asparagus then remove scales from stalks with vegetable peeler
  • Place spears in a steaming rack over boiling water then cover and steam 5 minutes.
  • Transfer to a serving platter.
  • Sauté pine nuts in a small skillet over medium heat for 3 minutes then set aside.
  • Combine olive oil and remaining ingredients in saucepan then stir with wire whisk to blend.
  • Cook over medium heat 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated stirring constantly.
  • Pour over asparagus then sprinkle with pine nuts.
  • Let stand to room temperature before serving.

    Asparagus grows wild around my house back in Canada and it is so good...this recipe will make it even better, great post.
