Chocolate Mocha Brownies

these are a coffee flavored brownie with large white and regular chocolate chunks... I like the fact that they are different... the recipe is from one of the Spirit of Christmas series...
Ingredients
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup butter shopping list
- 2 TBSP. instant coffee shopping list
- 1 TBSP. hot water shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 TBSP. vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 2 teasp. baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teasp. salt shopping list
- 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, broken into small pieces shopping list
- 4 ounces white chocolate, broken into small pieces shopping list
- ................................................................. shopping list
- I tend to add a little more chocolate chunks!!! shopping list
How to make it
- In medium saucepan .. melt sugar and butter over medium-low heat
- dissolve coffee in hot water and stir into butter mixture.
- cool to room temperature.
- beat eggs and vanilla into butter mixture..
- in large bowl... sift together flour, baking powder, and salt
- stir the butter mixture into the flour mixture..
- fold in the chocolate chunks
- pour batter into a greased 8 x 11-inch baking pan
- bake in a preheated 350' F oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until light brown
- cool in the pan
- cut into 1 1/2 - inch squares ( or bigger !)
- makes 36 of the small brownies...
