Apple Bread

My college roomy always love the sweet breads. This apple bread is moist, sweet and loaded with texture. It cools in the foil. Won't hold you up in the kitchen.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Crisco oil shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 3 cups flour shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp soda shopping list
- 1 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 3 1/2 cups apples shopping list
- 1 cup chopped nuts shopping list
- sugar for dusting shopping list
How to make it
- Hand mix the crisco oil, vanilla, and sugar.
- Add the eggs, flour, salt, soda and cinnamon. Mix well together.
- Then add the apples and the nuts.
- The batter will be very stiff.
- Bake in 300 degree oven, in greased loaf pans, for 1 1/2 hr.
- When baked, remove from pans immediately.
- Sprinkle with either white sugar or powered sugar and wrap in foil to cool.
- Leave in foil until ready to use.

This is a very moist bread...very similar to the delicious recipe I grew up with(handed down from Grandma)!
...We add a half cup less of sugar and add a tiny pinch of nutmeg,...and sometimes added raisins...
