Ahhh Good Ol Betty Crocker!
I use this filling in Cream puffs or Boston Creme Pie.. or Vanilla pie filling. very versatile..

Sounds great, and a little easier than my version, I will note though when coving with wax or plastic wrap, allow the steam a place to escape, so that condensation doesn't go back into your filling, thats a trick my grandmother always used... it helps the filling keep its shape and not drool out unintentionally!
