I make my lasagna only on occasion . But it is huge and beautiful. I gave you a basic recipe for lasagna. I use a 13"x 9" Kaiser springform pan and when the sides are removed, it is quite attractive and appetizing.

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs of your favorite sausage
  • Your favorite marinara or meat sauce
  • •Filling:
  • 24 ounce container small ricotta (good quality)
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3eggs beaten
  • 2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 packages of oven-ready lasagna noodles – or – parboiled lasagna sheets (Specialty Stores) in dairy section
  • Topping:
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese for top
  • Shredded Parmesan Cheese for top

Directions
  1. In a large skillet brown sausage.
  2. Add you favorite sauce
  3. Simmer while preparing the filling
  4. Mix filling ingredients together.
  5. In a 13 x9” Kaiser Springform pan put a layer of sauce then a layer of uncooked noodles and a layer of filling.
  6. Layer of cooked sausage
  7. I make 4 layers
  8. Alternate layers making the last layer the sauce.
  9. Add more shredded mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese on top then sprinkle with parsley.
  10. Bake at 350 covered with foil for 35 minutes.
  11. Take foil off and bake for 15 minutes then allow to set 15 minutes before taking the sides of the pan off.
