Baked Indian Pudding

- 3 Cups milk shopping list
- 3 Tablespoons yellow cornmeal shopping list
- 1/2 Cup dark molasses shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 Cup sugar shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon melted butter shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- salt shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Heat milk in a saucepan and when it come to a boil gradually stir in the cornmeal,using a wire whisk.
- Cook,stirring constantly,until slightly thickened.
- Stir in molasses.
- Beat egg in a large mixing bowl and add sugar,butter,ginger,cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
- Pour in the hot mixture,stirring rapidly.
- When Thoroughly blended,pour mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Bake 1 hour or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
