How to make it

  • Mix dry rub ingredients. Place roast on a large pan or platter and liberally coat with all of the dry rub. Cover well and place in fridge for about 24 hours.
  • When ready to cook, place roast and whatever you can scrape off the pan or platter into a large dutch oven or other large pan with a tight fitting lid. Mix sauce ingredients and pour over roast.
  • Bake at 300 for about 6 hours until it is falling off the bone.
  • When done, remove bone and shred with a fork or tongs.
  • Serve on buns with lots of napkins.
