Camp Fire Banana Boats

I got this recipe from a 1950's era Swift's Premium recipe book by Martha Logan.
Ingredients
- 1 banana per person shopping list
- ...1 tbsp brown sugar or maple syrup, 1 tbsp butter, and 3 curshed vanilla vafers. shopping list
- ...1 tbsp rasins, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp butter. shopping list
- ...1 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips, and 1 tbsp mini marshmallows. shopping list
- ...1 tbsp chopped walnuts or peanuts, 3 crushed vanilla waffers, 1 tbsp butter. shopping list
- ...1 tbsp. peanut butter, 1 tbsp, semi-sweet chocolate chips, 2 tbsp. crushed gram crackers. shopping list
How to make it
- Peel a strip of skin back on each banana.
- Scoop out some of the fruit.
- Fill with one of the above combo's.
- Place banana peel back in place.
- Wrap each banana in foil.
- Heat over hot coals or grill about 20 minutes.
- Would be good with ice cream.
- Enjoy!
