Ingredients
  • Country Never Fail Peanut Brittle
  • ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • 2 c Granulated sugar
  • 3 ts Butter
  • 1 c Light corn syrup
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 1/2 c Water
  • 2 ts Baking soda
  • 3 c Raw peanuts (sometimes I roast mine just a little):)

Directions
  1. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  2. Boil sugar, corn syrup and water until thread spins.
  3. Add peanuts, stir continuously after peanuts are added.
  4. Cook until mixture turns a brownish-gold color.
  5. Remove from heat, add butter, salt and baking soda.
  6. Pour onto buttered board, spreading to 1/4-inch thickness.
  7. When cool break into pieces.
  8. Store in an airtight container.
