Asian Broth

- 8 cups home made chicken broth shopping list
- 2 cup leek, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup fresh ginger, sliced & smashed shopping list
- 5 tablespoons fish sauce shopping list
- 2 oz. dried shitake mushrooms shopping list
- 5-6 dried small red chiles shopping list
- 4 stalks (4"each) lemongrass, removed tough outer leaves, sliced & smashed shopping list
- zest of a lemon shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sugar (*optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all ingredients in a large pot.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, simmer 30 minutes.
- Strain into a bowl, discard solids.
- Keep into the airtight container and freeze until ready to use
