How to make it

  • Beat the eggs well, add the sugar gradually and continue beating 'til
  • light.
  • Stir in the honey, then the rest of the ingredients.
  • Sift the flour,
  • baking powder and soda together and add last.
  • Pour into a paper-lined and oiled pan and sprinkle a few blanched halved almonds on top.
  • Bake in a 300F oven for one hour. or until tested done
  • Cover with foil if browning to fast
  • Invert the pan and allow the cake to cool before removing.

    You are absolutely right Midgelet, this is a perfect cake for Fall and Winter. I am setting this recipe aside and from what I have read in the ingredients, it's going to be delicious and a keeper! You've got my "5" forks.
