Bavarian Chowder Recipe
Easily made chowder that is warming and filling . It uses two canned soups as a base for itself, and with the addition of some cabbage, smoked sausage, carrots, and caraway seeds you have a bowl of heaven.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. beef sausage (Hillshire, etc.), sliced 1/4" thick rounds
  • 2 cups carrots, sliced thinly
  • 1 tsp. Caraway seeds
  • 2 Tbl. butter
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 can milk
  • 1 can water
  • 3 cups cabbage, shredded

Directions
  1. In a stock pot, brown the sausage, carrots and caraway in butter.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and cook (stirring often), until cabbage is tender.
  3. That's it! Serve.
