Mixed Mushroom Stroganoff Recipe
this is a mixture of many mushrooms which adds to the texture and the flavor of the dish... the recipe is for the four ingredients cookbook

Ingredients
  • 2 TBSP. butter
  • 2 pounds mixed mushrooms, cut into bite size pieces ( nice mix is 2/3 rds white mushrooms and 1/3 mixed other mushrooms)
  • 1 1/2 cups white wine
  • 1 cup sour cream

Directions
  1. melt butter in skillet and quickly cook mushrooms in batches over high heat
  2. transfer mushrooms to a bowl when finished cooking
  3. add the wine to the pan with the mushroom juices bring to a boil
  4. reduce heat ... replace the mushrooms with any juice in the bowl
  5. stir well and heat for a seconds ..then remove from the heat
  6. stir in sour cream and season to taste with salt and pepper
  7. if necessary gently heat through
  8. serve immediately
  9. ..............................................
  10. can be served with rice, meat or on thick slices of toast
