Mixed Mushroom Stroganoff

- 2 TBSP. butter shopping list
- 2 pounds mixed mushrooms, cut into bite size pieces ( nice mix is 2/3 rds white mushrooms and 1/3 mixed other mushrooms) shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups white wine shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
How to make it
- melt butter in skillet and quickly cook mushrooms in batches over high heat
- transfer mushrooms to a bowl when finished cooking
- add the wine to the pan with the mushroom juices bring to a boil
- reduce heat ... replace the mushrooms with any juice in the bowl
- stir well and heat for a seconds ..then remove from the heat
- stir in sour cream and season to taste with salt and pepper
- if necessary gently heat through
- serve immediately
- ..............................................
- can be served with rice, meat or on thick slices of toast
