This award winning recipe was provided by a friend years back. While there are lots of ingredients, the taste made it worth it. Best Green Chili I have had.

An absolute must try. I love spicy food and this one sounds decadent. Yummy. Will be making soon. Thanks for sharing.

The ingredients look really good, but the directions are not clear to me. If it's transferred to crockpot right after it's brought to simmer on stove, then how long is it further cooked in the crockpot and at what temp? The chicken is already cooked, but the potato isn't and the whole mixture needs time for flavors to meld, I would think. Poblanos make lovely soups and stews, great flavor.

You would need to cook in the crockpot til potatoes are done, so at least a few hours. All day on low only makes it better!

Thanks. I must have been asleep at the wheel when I first viewed the recipe since it says the potato is boiled already and it's pureed at the outset with the chiles. I expect I'll just walk the habanero thru at first rather than mince it in. Have learned by fiery trial that I can always add more heat but once in there, there's no extinguishing it.

This is very good and count me in on the fiery side, more habanero mo' better. YUM!
