Caramel Refrigerator Cookies

These little cookies are so delicious. Especially with coffee. Try serving them with a small bowl of French vanilla or banana ice cream. :)
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Crisco shopping list
- 1 stick unsalted butter shopping list
- 2 cups brown sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- 3-1/2 cups sifted self-rising flour shopping list
- 1 cup chopped pecans shopping list
How to make it
- In large bowl, mix shortening, butter brown sugar, eggs, vanilla
- Stir in flour and nuts
- Form into 2 rolls
- Wrap and chill for about 4-6 hours OR overnight
- Slice 1/8 inch thick
- Place on cookie sheet
- Bake at 375 degrees until lightly browned
- Remove from cookie sheet, place on wire rack to cool
