Hot Brown Sandwiches Recipe
This is by special request. I have added the only times it gives in this recipe other than that I don't have a clue.

Ingredients
  • 6 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups turkey broth or chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 12 slices bread, toasted
  • sliced turkey or chicken
  • paprila
  • 12 slices tomato
  • 12 slices bacon, cooked
  • parsley

Directions
  1. Melt butter, and stir in flour; cook over low heat, blending until smooth.
  2. Stir in salt and pepper.
  3. Graducally add broth and milk; cook, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened.
  4. Add cheese; simmer about 10 minutes. (Sauce will be thick.)
  5. Place 2 slices toast on each of 6 overproof plates.
  6. Place turkey or chicken on each slice of toast; cover with sauce, and sprinkle with paprika.
  7. Top each with 1 slice tomato and 1 slice bacon.
  8. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until sauce is bubbly.
  9. Garnish with parsley.
  10. Yield: 6 servings.
