A sweet rendition of a grilled cheese sandwich

Ingredients
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 8 lg pieces of Challah or Italian bread
  • 4 oz. thin semisweet chocolate bar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Directions
  1. In a large shallow dish, whisk together eggs and milk, set aside.
  2. form 4 sandwiches with the bread and chocolate ( break chocolate to cover the bread without going over the edges.
  3. Dip both sides of the sandwiches in egg mixture to coat.
  4. Heat butter in a lg. skillet over med heat and put sandwiches in skillet.
  5. cook, pressing occasionally with a spatula, until golden brown 1 to 2 minutes per side. transfer to a paper towel and dust with the powdered sugar.
