Fresh Strawberry Ganache Pie

- 1 9 inch pie crust, baked shopping list
- 1 Quart fresh strawberries shopping list
- 1 Cup sugar shopping list
- 3 Table spoons cornstarch shopping list
- 3/4 Cup water shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon butter shopping list
- 1/2 Cup + 2 Tablespoons heavy cream shopping list
- 6 Ounces of chocolate (Dark or milk whatever you prefer) shopping list
How to make it
- Bake the single layer crust in an oven until golden brown and cool to room temperature
- Over a double boiler melt the chocolate in the heavy cream until mixed well and perfectly smooth
- Add the chocolate ganache to the pie shel and refrigerate until set hard.
- Clean and slice the strawberries and arrange half of them layered into the pie shell over the chocolate
- Puree the remaining berries and combine them with the sugar in a medium sauce pan over medium heat.
- Whisk together the water and cornstarch until smooth and mix into the berry mixture.
- Stirring constantly raise the mixture to a boil and thickens.
- Remove from the heat and pour mixture into the pie shell.
- Chill several hours or until set. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream
