How to make it

  • Bake the single layer crust in an oven until golden brown and cool to room temperature
  • Over a double boiler melt the chocolate in the heavy cream until mixed well and perfectly smooth
  • Add the chocolate ganache to the pie shel and refrigerate until set hard.
  • Clean and slice the strawberries and arrange half of them layered into the pie shell over the chocolate
  • Puree the remaining berries and combine them with the sugar in a medium sauce pan over medium heat.
  • Whisk together the water and cornstarch until smooth and mix into the berry mixture.
  • Stirring constantly raise the mixture to a boil and thickens.
  • Remove from the heat and pour mixture into the pie shell.
  • Chill several hours or until set. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream
