We used to have an Ackee tree in our back yard. Thank you for sharing this recipe. Also for the smiles.

Wouldn't know where to find ackee but wanted to say I had ackee and saltfish when I was in Jamaica last June and LOVED it!

This is a great recipe - I had something similar in the Caribbean, never made it myself. Great description, too.

I too was ignorant about ackee, while everything looks great, it is one that I can safely say I will never make. I have never seen an ackee in any store in the area and if I ask I know the produce clerk will just say “God Bless You”

    Thank you.

Great Recipe. I had an Akee/fish dish at a Jamaican resort a few years ago. The texture was a little funky for me but it was quite tasty. I will look for it at our international foods store here and try this recipe. Oh.. Nice pic of the aliens in the tree. Reminds me of my GF after two glasses of your potion 69......;-)~

My father had an Akee tree in his back yard in S. Florida. He used to make them like scrambled eggs and add crisp bacon. It was a real good breakfast. I know that this is a great recipe. The Akee is a mild flavored soft nut meat that will be wonderfully enhanced with the other ingredients. And the texture will be perfect. Thank you for sharing with marvelous recipe. It is a keeper.
