Cajun Cabbage

- 1 pound ground beef shopping list
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped shopping list
- 1 medium onion, chopped shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- 1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes and green chilies shopping list
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce shopping list
- 1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano shopping list
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon each white, black and cayenne pepper shopping list
- 4 to 6 drops hot pepper sauce shopping list
- 1 small head cabbage, chopped shopping list
- 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded colby cheese shopping list
How to make it
- In a skillet, cook the beef, green pepper, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, rice and seasonings.
- Spread into an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Top with the cabbage and cheese. Cover and bake at 350° for 65-75 minutes or until the rice is tender. Yield: 6-8 servings.
