Linguini With Vodka and Rosy Tomato Sauce

- 2 tablespoons olive oil shopping list
- 3 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 small white onion chopped shopping list
- 1 clove garlic minced shopping list
- 28 ounce can chunky tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil minced shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon dried pepper flakes shopping list
- 1/2 cup vodka shopping list
- 1/2 cup heavy cream shopping list
- 3 tablespoons parmigiano reggiano grated shopping list
- 12 ounce linguini shopping list
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- Chopped cilantro shopping list
How to make it
- Combine oil and butter in a medium skillet and sauté the onion for about 5 minutes.
- And garlic and sauté for one additional minute.
- Add all other ingredients except cream and pasta.
- After simmering for about 15 minutes add cream and reduce heat to keep it hot but not boiling.
- Cook pasta according to package directions and drain well.
- Spread a layer of sauce on a heated serving platter then pile on the pasta and top with the remaining sauce and garnish with chopped cilantro.
