Ingredients
  • Syrup
  • * 1/2 cup vinegar
  • * 1 cup sugar
  • * 1 stick margarine
  • * 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • * 1 cup water
  • Dumplings
  • * 1 cup flour
  • * 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • * 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • * 2 Tablespoons margarine
  • * 6 Tablespoons milk

Directions
  1. Syrup
  2. * 1/2 cup vinegar
  3. * 1 cup sugar
  4. * 1 stick margarine
  5. * 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  6. * 1 cup water
  7. 1. Mix all the above together and bring to a boil.
  8. 2. Drop dumplings into mixture and boil about 15 minutes or until syrup is thick.
  9. Dumplings
  10. * 1 cup flour
  11. * 2 teaspoons baking powder
  12. * 1/2 teaspoon salt
  13. * 2 Tablespoons margarine
  14. * 6 Tablespoons milk
  15. Mix all together, like you would for biscuits.
  16. Roll out into small rounds 1/2 inch thick and drop in vinegar syrup
