Rhubarb Crunch A La Mode

- 1 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 3/4 cup uncooked oats shopping list
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 cup melted butter or margarine shopping list
- 4 cups chopped rhubarb shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- ice cream shopping list
How to make it
- Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter; blend well.
- Pat half of crumb mixture into a 9-inch baking pan; cover with rhubarb.
- Combine sugar and cornstarch; slowly add water, blending well.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and slightly thickened.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Pour sauce over rhubarb, and sprinkle with remaming crumbs.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until rhubarb is tender.
- Serve warm with ice cream.
- Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
