Ingredients

How to make it

  • Drain spinach well after cooked
  • While spinach is draining, soften cream cheese and 1-1/2 sticks of the butter over low heat
  • In bowl, mix spinach, cream cheese, and butter
  • Stir in chopped green onions
  • Mix well
  • Spread into a lightly greased 9 X 13 casserole dish
  • Melt remaining stick and half of butter
  • Generously cover with *crushed* croutons
  • Drizzle melted butter over all
  • Sprinkle with cayenne pepper, optional
  • Bake for 20-30 minutes in a 300 degree oven
  • May add water chesnuts, pimiento, roasted chopped red pappers, Parmesan cheese
  • THIS RECIPE WILL SERVE 12-16 AND IS SO VERSATILE
