Perfect Pear Chutney Recipe
A delicious compliment to meats. Just cook all together until thickened, about 1 hour. Store in refrigerator. Wonderful to give as a gift.

Ingredients
  • 3-1/2 quarts pears, peeled and cut up
  • 1-1/2 cup raisins
  • 2 chili peppers, ground
  • 5 garlic cloves, ground
  • 2 onions, ground
  • 1-1/2 cups vinegar
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in pot
  2. Cook until mixture thickens, about 1 hour
  3. Store in refrigerator

This sounds great! I have a recipe for a Chutney Cheese Ball (not posted) that I usually make with store bought mango chutney. I think I'll try it with this instead. Thanks!
