Indian Lamb Stew- Saag Gosh

- 1/4 cup water shopping list
- 1/2 medium onion sliced shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves shopping list
- 1/2 lb of lamb stew meat ( from leg )cut 1 inch cubes shopping list
- 1 large tomato cut in cubes shopping list
- half a 10 oz pkg of spinach ( 5 oz total ) ready to eat shopping list
- 1 tsp cumin shopping list
- 1 tsp corrinader shopping list
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1 tsp ground cardomon shopping list
- 2 tsp butter shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Heat water and onion in skillet over medium heat
- Cook onion for 5 minutes and add garlic and cook a few more minutes.
- If skillet becomes dry add a bit more water.
- Add meat and brown on all sides.
- Add tomato and spinach and spices and cook 5 minutes
- Remove lid and cook 5 more minutes.
- Lamb should be tender, if not cook till tender
- When tender, stir in butter to melt
- salt and pepper to taste
- Serve stew over rice.
