Check out Gloria Hander Lyons book Desserts in a Mug. It is awesome and has tons of great recipes for brownies, cookies, pies, cakes cobblers etc... all in a mug in the microwave!!! She sells the book through bluesage press but you can take a look online at a couple of the recipes, its super handy because you can mix up A BUNCH(or just one serving!) ahead of time because it doesnt use raw egg but egg white powder

That's scary. Chocolate cake in under 5 mins. To good to be true. Thanks for the recipe. I guess I would have to make more than one, that way I don't have to share.

I love it! I get the dangerous part though. Wow, usually you need to wait for 40 minutes or so to bake one. This is a PMS breakthrough.
You should get some medal for this.

I don't understand! Are people in such a rush to get new recipes posted that they don't do a precursory check to see if the same recipe is not already posted?
This recipe was freshly posted 6 hours earlier by Mcboo. A couple of words were changed but the overall flow of the recipe is identical.

You know, I tried this twice, the second time trying to correct the results of the first time, and I need to know if it's me or the recipe. I found this too dense, eggy, dry. I made some changes to correct, and it was better, but still dense and dry. Any thoughts?

:-) I got the same email! It was good, but I think mine was actually overdone - came out rubbery, but the chocolate chips saved it, so I think they're a must! pieplate, maybe try microwaving for a little less time? I'm gonna try again...soon! ;)

I've done a yummy individual molten chocolate cakes before (conventional oven, though), and I added some kahlua to the recipe and another time, chambord, and can I just say, incredible! I think that that would work very nicely here, and perhaps help with the problem of dryness. Also, remember that things continue to cook after you remove them from the microwave, so try a shorter time if your's is dry.

I would only cook it for 2 minutes though, the cake was a bit dry at 3 minutes

I’m a big fan of the chocolate microwave mug cake recipe, too. In fact, I’m also the author of “101 Recipes for Microwave Mug Cakes” that builds on this recipe (but, hopefully, adds some ideas and baking tips for those who love microwave mug cakes as much as I do). Check it out at http://www.microwavemugcakes.com.
