Bacon Wrapped Oysters

- oil for frying shopping list
- 2 quarts (4 to 5 dozen) fresh shucked oysters shopping list
- 1 1/2 packages (16-ounce) smoked bacon shopping list
- Wooden toothpicks shopping list
- 2 cups cornmeal shopping list
- 2 tbsp Cajun Injector® Quick Shake™ seasoning shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oil to 400º F in electric fryer or 350º F in propane fryer. Drain oysters. Cut each bacon strip into thirds. Wrap each oyster with a piece of bacon. Secure with a wooden toothpick. Combine cornmeal and Quick Shake™ Seasoning; stir well with a whisk. Dredge oysters in cornmeal mixture, coating all sides well. Refrigerate until ready to fry. Fry a few at a time for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Remove from hot oil and drain on paper towels.
