Potato Candies Or Bonbons Recipe

Potato Candies Or Bonbons Recipe
You must try these if you love sweets. These candies look like a white and brown pinwheel and can be made with a cold, boiled, leftover potato.

Ingredients
  • 1 potato (peeled, boiled, mashed, cold)
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar (confectioner's sugar)
  • 2 tbsps peanut butter

Directions
  1. Cook potato as usual (or use a mashed leftover potato).
  2. Cool and mash it well. Add the powdered sugar to the mashed, cold potato and mix well until all the sugar is absorbed.
  3. Roll out the potato mixture with a rolling pin on top of a long, rectangular piece of wax paper (like it was pastry crust) until it is very thin, in a rectangle. Spread the peanut butter evenly on top. Roll the dough into a jelly or pinwheel roll. Wrap the wax paper around the roll and refrigerate for 1 hour. Take out of the fridge, unwrap and slice into 1/4 inch slices. Fan out the candies (bonbons) on a plate.
