Devils Food Drop Cookies Recipe

How to make it

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2- 1 oz. square choc. melted
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup walnuts chopped
  • Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs, vanilla and stir in choc. and add dry ingredients. Add sour cream last and mix well. Stir in nuts. Drop from tsp. 2 in. apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 min.
  • Frosting:
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 sq. choc.
  • powdered sugar
  • hot coffee
  • Mix together and frost cookies when warm.
