- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken tenderloins shopping list
- extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- 3 T margarine shopping list
- Seasoned salt shopping list
- garlic pepper shopping list
- italian seasoning shopping list
- white wine worcestershire shopping list
- Dash red pepper flakes shopping list
- parmesan cheese shopping list
- 4 T chopped garlic shopping list
- 1 med. white onion shopping list
- 1 tub sliced fresh mushrooms shopping list
- white wine Worcestershire shopping list
- 1 c grape tomatoes, halved shopping list
- 1 c spinach, fresh or frozen shopping list
- 3 bay leaves shopping list
- 1 jar Classico Mushroom and ripe olive Spaghetti Sauce (or any you like) shopping list
- 3/4 box thin spaghetti shopping list
- Shredded Italian Blend cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Pour sauce into small saucepan and add a few shakes of italian seasoning, 2 T of the garlic, dash red pepper flakes and 3 bay leaves
- Simmer with lid while everything else cooks **
- Set large pot of water to boil with kosher salt and EVOO, cook pasta according to directions. (Ibreak in half before putting in the pot)
- Drizzle EVOO into large nonstick skillet and add margarine
- Rinse chicken and season one side with Italian Seasoning, Seasoned Salt and Garlic Pepper
- Place seasoned side down in skillet
- Season the other side facing up in skillet
- Add generous shakes of parmesan cheese over all
- Slice onion in thin lengthwise strips over chicken
- As chicken browns, turn it over and shake parmesan on that side
- Add the other 2 T garlic
- Stir often to get bits off the bottom of pan and get onion cooking
- Drizzle white wine worcestershire over all
- As chicken gets done, add mushrooms, spinach and grape tomatoes
- Pour seasoned sauce over all, stir, add lid
- When pasta is done, rinse
- Add pasta to plate, a few strips of chicken, sprinkle itlaina blend shredded cheese over chicken in plate, top with sauce, add more shredded cheese
- Serve with salad and garlic bread
- * * The jarred sauce needs to simmer with the additional seasonings for a whilte to give it time to absorb the flavor. If you prefer to not have the additional pan to wash, you can add the seasonings when you add the sauce to the chicken, and then, start your pasta water at that point. That will give it time to come together. I prefer the extra pan and dinner being done a little quicker so I can move on to something else.
