Strawberry Pie

It's that time of year again, another birthday which makes me think of one thing my Grandmothers Strawberry Pie she made for me every year. Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 3 heaping Tbsp. flour shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 2 Tblsp. white corn syrup shopping list
- 1/2 pkg. Strawberry Jello shopping list
- alittle red food coloring shopping list
- 1 Qt. drained fresh strawberries shopping list
- 1 pie crust shopping list
- Cool Whip shopping list
How to make it
- 1 cup sugar, pinch of salt, 3 heaping Tbsp. flour
- Mix and add:
- 1 cup of water, 2 Tbsp. white corn syrup
- Boil, stiring gently until clear (loses milky look)
- cool slightly
- add 1/2 pkg. Strawberry Jello, and a little red food coloring
- Cool alittle more and add 1 Qt. fresh Strawberries
- Pour into pie crust and cover whith Cool whip
- put in icebox and cool
- (Put 60 on cook time to include time in the icebox, she didn't give times)
