How to make it

  • Beat egg whites slightly.
  • Add sugar. Beat until very stiff.
  • Add 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 tsp. vinegar.
  • Shape onto brown paper bag that has been cut to fit baking sheet.
  • Place in oven that has been preheated to 425.
  • Immediately turn off oven.
  • Leave at least 3 hours or overnight.
  • Yield 10 large or 16 small meringues.

    Thanks this post was very helpful to me since I can't get cream of tartar out here I needed a recipe to make meringues without it.
